Shanghai Li Da Casting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter known as “the Company”) was established in July 1995 and has four subsidiaries: Shanghai Li Da Casting Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jiading Li Da Casting Co., Ltd., Shanghai Li Da Casting Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Nanhui Li Da Casting Co., Ltd.. The Company is a joint venture enterprise between parties from China, Australia and U.S.A. with total area of about 72,600 m 2 and total factory area of 30,000 m 2 . The Company integrates casting and machining shop, specializes in the production of Statically Cast Permanent Mold gray cast iron (eutectic cast iron) and its machinery processed parts. The Company mainly manufactures parts such as cylinder, crankshaft, piston and other parts as supplier for Shanghai Hitachi Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd,Matsushita- Wanbao (Guangzhou) Compressor Co., Ltd, Panasonic Home Appliances (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd, Matsushita Electrical Industial Co., Ltd (Japan Kusamitsu) and other home air-conditioner compressor manufacturers. In addition it also manufactures some cast parts for pumps and valve body, and cylinder parts for car air-conditioner compressors. The Company presently has 900 employees, of whom 60 persons are engineering and management staff. The Company is a member of Shanghai Casting Association and has obtained the certificate of ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001.

　　The Company employs the advanced casting technologies: intermediate frequency furnace smelting, statically cast permanent mold casting and continuous casting technology. The Company presently possesses six statically cast permanent mold casting production lines, one rod material continuous casting production line and is capable of supplying cast parts under the standards including American standard (ASTM A 823-99), Japan standard (JIS..G5501) or other standards upon customer's requirement (China does not have national standard for D type graphite cast parts). The Company is equipped with complete physical and chemical testing instruments, including the thermal analyzer, hardness gauge, metallographic analyzer, tensile strength tester, magnetic powder inspector, chemical compositions analyzer and so on. The annual production capacities of cast parts and continuous casting rods have reached 30,000 tons and 2,000 tons respectively.
　　 The Company has formally established its Machining Department in August 2001, for rough machining process of cast parts with CNC machining technology. This department is presently made up of crankshaft processing workshop, cylinder processing workshop and piston processing workshop, with total of more than 150 sets of various numerical control equipments and more than 30 sets of specific equipments including numerical controlled lathes, coreless grinding machines, specialized milling machines, specialized spot facing work machine, specialized inner and outer edges machines and so on. In the mean time, the department also possesses advanced inspection equipments, including the three dimensional coordinates measuring instrument, roundness measuring equipment and so on. The rough machining capacity of various cast parts has reached about 15 million pieces.
